Whether you’re new to North Yorkshire or a longtime fan, there is always somewhere new to explore.

From the rugged North York Moors to the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales, charming market towns and miles of stunning coastline, let us guide you on walks through the local area.

Outdoor Explorers Yorkshire owner David has been hill and mountain walking for the past 20 years, and recently decided to put his experience to good use by enrolling on the Hill and Moorland Leader course with Mountain Training.

Guided walks

David has already logged 20 quality hill days and become a member of the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) before beginning the qualification. After completing his initial three‑day training, he must now log a further 20 quality hill days to put the skills and techniques he has learned into practice. Through his membership with the BMC, he is insured to lead groups, provided this is done on a voluntary basis.

David offers guided walks for a range of abilities – from more challenging hill routes to relaxed, local walks designed for families – making the outdoors accessible, enjoyable and confidence‑building for everyone.
