Holiday Clubs in Northallerton

About our Holiday Clubs for 5-7* year olds

We asked, you fed back, and now we’re delivering!

We have listened and taken onboard all the feedback from our recent School Holiday Club Survey and we are excited to share our new School Holiday Club! We’ve created a Holiday Club that starts at the same time each day, offers extended hours, and includes a wide range of activities – not just sports.

With standard days starting at 9am and finishing at 3pm (extended hours from 8:30am to 5:30pm), each day will be packed with activities. Based between Zion Church Hall and the Northallerton Secret Garden we are able to offer a mixture of sports (football, tag rugby, basketball and dodgeball), baking, arts and crafts and nature inspired activities.

*As our Holiday Clubs grow, we will look to expand our offering to wider age groups and more children. If your child falls out of this current age bracket, please subscribe for updates on future Holiday Clubs.

We’ve put together some handy FAQs that will answer all your questions.

What time does the Holiday Club run?

Choose from 9am – 3pm (standard hours) or 8.30am – 5:30pm (extended hours).

What age is the Holiday Club suitable for?

We know how important it is for children to have age‑appropriate activities and to be surrounded by others at a similar stage of development. That’s why our Holiday Clubs are designed specifically for ages 5 – 7 – a small, focused age range that helps children feel safe, comfortable and confident.

As our Holiday Clubs grow, so will the age groups we can cater for.

What activities are included in the Holiday Clubs?

We know it’s important to have a range of activities to keep your children entertained so our clubs will include all sorts of activities from sports and baking to crafts and reading. We also have exclusive access to the adjacent Northallerton Secret Garden where children can search for bugs, enjoy pond dipping and nature-inspired play for that all important fresh air.

Where is the Holiday Club?

The Outdoor Explorers Yorkshire Holiday Club is based at Zion Church, just behind Northallerton High Street. We also have private access to the adjacent Northallerton Secret Garden.

Does my child need to bring anything?

  • Clothing & Footwear: Comfortable sportswear and suitable indoor footwear should be worn each day. Please also provide a change of clothes and a pair of wellies for outdoor activities in the garden. Children will take part in potentially messy activities such as arts and crafts, baking, and outdoor play, so please bear this in mind when choosing what they wear. It would be helpful if all items could be clearly labelled.
  • Protection: Shin pads are highly recommended for football, along with sun cream and a cap for sunny weather and waterproof clothing in case of rain
  • Food/Drink: A packed lunch, break time snacks and a refillable water bottle
